The "1001 Malles" (in English "1001 Trunks") app was designed to showcase our client Louis Vuitton Malletier’s heritage.
For several years, the Heritage Department of the Maison has been gathering antique trunks from its very own history. The result is a vast collection of ancient luxury objects mirroring ages gone a long time ago.
All around the world, Louis Vuitton stores host one or more of these trunks: they tell customers a piece of the Maison’s history.
On the exhibition sites, the « 1001 Malles » app accompany the trunks and show them off. After scanning a predetermined QR code via the app, the user downloads contents related to the displayed trunks to an iPad. The contents are configured to deny downloads from multiple devices: they only work for a specific exhibition.
They present the objects’ history and technical characteristics as well as images from the Maison’s archive. The contents are bilingual at the minimum (French & English). Depending on the location, there may be additional languages.
